Queen Charlotte will be celebrating the life and legacy of Terry Fox all this week. Students will be encouraged to get to know more about this Canadian hero. The school will be collecting money to make a contribution to the Terry Fox Foundation. Some limited fund-raising will take place as part of the promotion but the biggest parts of the celebration will be our school Terry Fox Assembly followed by our Terry Fox Run/Walk on Friday afternoon.
Queen Charlotte will have its first Home and School meeting Tuesday, September 26th at 7 PM in our library. All QC parents are invited to attend.
We are planning to add to the list of supervised activities available to students at noon. As such we would like to provide board games that will be available in the cafeteria for students to use between 12:40 and 1:05. Anyone who would like to donate chess, checkers, scrabble or related board games are invited to drop them off in the main office between 8:00 and 3:30 on any school day. Thanks you for your interest in this opportunity for Queen Charlotte students.

We are beginning to make plans for our Grade 9 trip to Ottawa and Quebec. We would like to invite all parents of our grade 9 students to attend a very important information meeting. It will take place on Tuesday September 19th at 7 PM in our cafeteria. We you hope you attend.

Queen Charlotte is looking for 4 QC families who would be interested in hosting an exchange student from Ashibetsu during the week of Sept 21st to the Sept 28th. Please call the school (or email firstname.lastname@example.org) if you would like more details.
