Today is Mr. Beaton day, food donations can be dropped off to Mr. Beaton’s classroom or the main office.  Thanks to everyone for your donations.

Just Dance today at 12:45 in the gym.  Please finish your lunch before coming to the activity.

QC’s second ski night is planned for February 28.  Forms can be found outside of Mme. Cooper’s class – room 119 and payments can be made during afternoon homeroom to Mme. Cooper.

Happy Valentine’s day everyone…

Tomorrow is the second annual Mr. Beaton Day at QC. The purpose of Mr. Beaton Day is to dress up like Mr. Beaton (dress shirt, tie, basically any dress clothes). For this year’s Mr. Beaton Day, we will be collecting food donations for the Upper Room Hospitality Ministry on behalf of Queen Charlotte. Food donations can be dropped off to Mr. Beaton’s classroom all week.

Sign up sheets are posted in the grade level hallways for students interested in signing up for the Provincial Science Fair.

There will be no creative writing today.

QC’s second ski night is planned for February 28.  Forms can be found outside of Mme. Cooper’s class – room 119 and payments can be made during afternoon homeroom to Mme. Cooper.

Sign up sheets are posted in the grade level hallways for students interested in signing up for the Provincial Science Fair.

Drama rehearsal today from 3:00 – 3:45 in the library.  Grade seven band students are asked to come to drama first before going to band rehearsal. All other students please note the early end time and location change.

Drama students are reminded of today’s rehearsal from 3:00 – 4:15 in the cafeteria. Please bring your scripts and a pencil. Cast members who are also in band are asked to come for the first half of rehearsal.

“Just Dance” will be held in the gym – everyone welcome.  Start time is 12:40 – please finish your lunch before coming.

There will be a meeting today at 12:40 in the science lab for any students interested in information about this year’s provincial science fair.

The boys “AA” basketball team host Stonepark today at 4:30.

The girls “AA” basketball team will practice today from 3:15 – 4:00.

Congratulations to the Central Attack Bantam “AA” team who recently won the Bantam “AA” division in the Montague Norseman. The attack played five strong games and captured the championship with a total team effort. Congratulations to our QC students: Jack Dickie, Ryan Harper, Alex Koughan, Keegan Rush-Germaine, Creegan Tompkins, Nathan Farrell, and coach Josh Beaton.

Congratulations to the Central Attack Major Bantam Hockey Team in winning the SPUD tournament championship on Sunday with a 4-2 victory over the Dieppe Flyers. Congratulations to Jack Howatt, Kal White, Nathan Mossey, Will Morrison, Tyler Worth, Bates Ling, Cam Squires, Chris Koughan, Jonah MacDonald, Brett Arsenault, Jamie Collins, and coach K.J. White. Congrats on the big win.

Any grade nine students who asked to borrow skates or a helmet for the Ottawa Quebec trip are asked to please meet, with teacher’s permission, Mr. MacKinnon and Mr. Smith in by the gym offices at the start of first period.

The “AA” girls are asked to meet your cabs at the front doors at 2:50 today to go to East Wiltshire.

“Just Dance” Intramurals will be on at lunch today. Doors open at 12:40. Be sure to finish your lunch before entering the gym and remove outdoor footwear as well. All staff and students are welcome.

On Saturday in Frederiction, New Brunswick two grade nine students here at QC competed in the Eastern Canadian Wrestling Championship. Both Venessa Keefe and Drew Murphy wrestled hard and had strong performances.

Mrs. Andrew has PEI Intermediate Honor Band tickets for sale in band room. Concert is this Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Delta Convention Center. Tickets are $5.

Congrats to the “A” girls basketball team on their big 38-29 win over Gulf Shore last evening. Kathleen Henthorn and Menna Elmoslemany were the leading scorers for our Coyotes.

Good luck to our “A” girls basketball team in their game vs Gulf Shore tonight. Teachers are asked to excuse the girls from class at 2:30 so that they can catch their rides.

Honor band meets Monday after school.

Honors band students, or any other students who missed the grade nine trip information meeting yesterday are invited to a re-run of the meeting on Monday at 12:40 in room 215.

The first Just Dance intramurals of 2019 will be in the gym at lunch today. The doors will open at 12:40.  Students are reminded that outdoor shoes should not be worn in the gym. Only students participating are to be in the gym.  If you have any song suggestions please see Ms. Pemberton during break in Room 114. All students and staff are welcome, hope to see you there.

Congratulations to the “A” girls basketball team on two big wins this week:  44-28 over Morell and t51-17 over Francois Buote.

The “A” boys basketball team split their games this week with the 62-54 win over Morell and a tight 46-34 loss to Francois Buote.

“AA” boys basketball that was scheduled for 4:00 at East Wiltshire has been moved to 4:30 today.

Reminder to students participating in the grade nine Ottawa / Quebec Trip, there will be an important information meeting in the gym today at 12:40.  Please eat your lunch before coming, as we do not want food brought into the gym.

We will re-run the meeting next week at lunch for Honors Band students, who are at Stonepark today for rehearsals.

The “A” girls basketball team had a successful tournament at SIS this past weekend. The girls won two out of three games and players of the game winners were Paige Doncaster, Kathleen Henthorn and Menn Elmoslemany. Great work girls!

The “AA” boys basketball team play against Stonepark at 4:30.

All students participating in the grade nine Ottawa Quebec trip are asked to attend an information meeting in the gym at 12:40 on Thursday.  Please eat your lunch before coming to the meeting, as we do not want food brought into the gym.

Any student who would like to work the shot clock at today’s basketball games at 4:30 and 6:00 are asked to see Mr. White in the gym at morning break.

There will be a practice for the boys development basketball team tonight from 7:30 to 8:30 in the gym. Any interested boys can attend.

The “A” boys and girls basketball teams are hosting games here at QC this evening vs Morell. Come out and support the teams at 4:30 and 6:00 tonight.

Students are welcome to keep their library books over the break but are reminded that the books will be overdue when you return.

Grade nine band rehearsal is rescheduled from Tuesday morning to Wednesday morning at 7:30.

There is no grade seven, eight or jazz band rehearsal this week.

Today is the last “Just Dance” intramurals of 2018! Come down to the gym at 12:40 to participate.  All students and staff are welcome. A reminder to everyone who attends that you need to remove your outdoor shoes before entering the gym.
